Southall Football Club is happy to announce the appointment of Kamal Prabhakar as Non-Executive Director. Kamal will play a role in moving the club forward as we continue to progress on and off the pitch. This is welcome news following the club’s recent promotion to the Isthmian South Central League and the works towards Bringing Southall Home with a new ground and facilities.
With more than 35 years in business leadership, Kamal has a strong background in all aspects of business formation, operation, finance, and management.
Kamal has helped businesses grow at a profitable and responsible pace, we hope that together we can take Southall FC to the next level on and off the pitch. We all have a vision for the club and believe Kamal has the drive, passion and network to help facilitate the growth of the club.
With a strong passion for sports, Kamal actively plays cricket and has been involved in major cricketing projects in the UK and abroad. We are excited to combine Kamal’s expertise in sports with the project at Southall FC, with the desire to continue to move up the football pyramid as well as rebuilding a ground and sports facilities in Southall. Kamal has also performed lead roles in many Hollywood & Bollywood movies including Aladdin with Will Smith, Nanny McPhee, Guest In London, Shaandar, Cholay, Born to be the King.
Kamal is Chairman of Ichione Group, which contains a number of businesses, such as the KP Smart Sports, Geeta’s Couture, Expert Eyes Entertainment, ismart health, Hermes Pharma CBD Experts, CBD Biotech and Zebra lite financials.
Other achievements include starting his own super-market at the age of 25 as a family business. Kamal sold the super-market and moved on to Post Offices. In 1988, purchased a small sub-post office, excelled at it and became a popular name in the post office circles. Went on to acquire a chain of post offices and later branch offices. Kamal is the first Asian to open a post office in Canary Wharf (1995).
His family faced a major set-back with the loss of Kamal's son Amit Prabhakar in 1998. Amit was a successful cricketer who played for England Under 19 and for Essex County. Kamal started Amit Prabhakar Cricket Academy in 2003 in memory of his son. The academy was launched by Cricket stars such as Yuvraj Singh, Saqlain Mushtaq and Ashish Nehra.
Kamal is driven to support the strategic aims of Southall FC and we are all excited to welcome him to the team. We now look to take on new challenges in the Isthmian Southall Central League and continue to work off the pitch towards our goals.
